“Hindsight”    Journey series.   80 cm wide.

Carved and gilded wood with patinated gold, silver and copper leaves. Sandblasted glass, assembled.

The “Journey” series talks about the many twists and turns, the things around the corner, the many steps we all take along the journey of life. I have choosen the boat as a metaphore for this concept. The boat is always seen from above, often different boat parts are put together to create the sculpture. In “Hindsight” the blue prow of the boat, in the center of  the piece, is nearly alligned with the carved and gilded wooden stern of the boat. An allegorical time transformation, perhaps allowing some hindsight into a situation.
